Petros Singers is indebted to its loyal supporters. Through their generous financial support, we’re able to perform ambitious concerts in London’s finest venues alongside top-class professional musicians. We’re also able to offer bursary places to talented young singers and secure our future as West London’s leading amateur chamber choir.
We have an ambitious concert programme, giving three or four concerts a year in West and Central London. As a well-established choir, our performances are always very well attended. Our West London concerts are supported by a loyal and mainly local audience; many also follow us to our Central London concerts which are held in prestigious venues and attract a wider audience.
We usually sing to a full house with audiences ranging from 150–400 depending on the size of the venue. For each concert we produce a comprehensive programme which includes detailed concert notes by our Musical Director, biographies of the musicians and full libretti, with translations.
For a small chamber choir like ours, however, the cost of putting on concerts is often far more than we make in revenue from ticket sales. We therefore rely on financial support from sponsorship, and from advertising in our concert programmes. This is a great way for businesses in West and Central London to promote themselves and show their support for a charitable arts organisation with a passion for making music.
