In 2016, Richard Bannan’s first Christmas with us as musical director, we performed Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols. Ten years on, we will revisit the same sequence of medieval poetry that inspired Britten in a beautiful programme of new and familiar choral music.

Featuring works by Herbert Howells, Kenneth Leighton, Cecilia McDowall, C. Hubert H. Parry, Martin Read, John Rutter, Lucy Walker, Peter Warlock and others, this special concert celebrates the richness and enduring appeal of the Christmas choral tradition.

Join us to usher in the festive season with glorious music, candlelight, mulled wine and mince pies, not forgetting the much-loved audience carols.
