For the first time in Petros Singers’ 41 years, the choir presents a concert exclusively featuring works by female composers, including madrigals from Ghirlanda by Vittoria Aleotti, songs from Fanny Hensel’s Gartenlieder and Drei Gemischte Chöre by Clara Schumann, as well as contemporary music from Rebecca Clarke, Judith Weir and Libby Larsen.

We’re delighted to welcome back pianist Libby Burgess, who will complete the programme with solo piano music by Cheryl Frances-Hoad and Lili Boulanger.

Featuring music from Italy, France, Germany, Russia, the UK and USA, the concert will explore unique sound-worlds and fresh musical textures.
